Looking for an Agricultural Research Technician. Responsible for providing routine and non-routine technical support to researchers by performing a variety of tasks in support of research. The research technician performs tasks in an agriculture or laboratory setting, in the field, or in other research settings.

Requirements for visa application:

Responsibilities:

1. Collect crop samples for analysis.
2. Record data from experiments.
3. Perform research.
4. Care for animals within the laboratory.
5. Take soil samples and check for nutrients.
6. Check the pH of the soil.
7. Clean, maintain, and supervise the use of testing equipment.
8. Prepare culture media.
9. Prepare data summaries, reports, and analyses that include results, charts, and graphs in order to document research findings and results.
10. Operate spectrometers, nitrogen determination apparatus, air samplers, centrifuges, and pH meters.
11. Store samples so nothing gets contaminated.
12. Care for livestock by providing food, water, and baths.
13. Plant seeds.
14. Count resulting plants to determine the percentage of seeds germinated.
15. Oversee pest or weed control initiatives.
16. Check plants for disease.
17. Identify pests or fungus plaguing plants.
18. Propagate standard varieties of plant materials.
19. Collect and germinate seeds.
20. Conduct insect surveys.
21. Apply chemicals using proven methods.
22. Train operators.
23. Maintain cuttings of plants.
24. Control environmental conditions.
25. Till, hoe, prune, weed, and harvest crops.
26. Clean, maintain, and repair tools.
27. Operate tractors, plows, combines, mowers, sprayers, earthmoving equipment, and trucks.
