Looking for a Clamshell Bucket Crane Operator. A Crane operator controls lifting machinery using buttons, levers, and pedals. They attach loads to hoists and cranes and safely remove them. Occasionally, they set up and repair equipment.

Requirements for visa application:

 Processing Time:

• Work permit processing time is 4-6 weeks.

Responsibilities:

1. Fully participate in the company Safety Program and attend daily pre-shift meetings.
2. Perform all duties within compliance with OSHA, company safety, and environmental regulations; including wearing appropriate PPE for task being performed.
3. Operate overhead, barge-mounted crane (controlled from a cab) to lift, move, and position loads (e.g. pig iron, coal, grain, machinery and equipment using hoisting attachments such as hooks, slings and buckets).
4. Manipulate or depress cane controls (e.g. pedals, levers and buttons) to regulate the speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions.
5. Perform daily inspection of crane for safety issues and determine if any parts/equipment are malfunctioning or broken including cables and brakes.
6. Repair crane as needed and or notify supervisor of defects/malfunctions.
7. Clean, maintain, and lubricate equipment.
8. Complete all necessary documentation whether it be written or on a record-keeping device.
9. Work within precise limits and standards of accuracy.
10. Take actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and falling objects.
11. Depending on facility and location, may be responsible for any variety of the following; leveling buildings, stocking, cutting grass, cutting chocks and general clean-up including sweeping, shoveling, washing, painting, and other general housekeeping responsibilities.
12. Other duties as assigned.
