Looking for a Crop Advisor. Advising farmers about seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and other countless decisions about crop farming, crop consultants also have the potential to promote sustainable practices to benefit water quality, soil health, and mitigation of greenhouse gases and impact on climate change.

 

Requirement For Visa Applications:

  • Passport Validity (1 year).
  • Updated CV.
  • Passport Size photo (4 Copies).
  • Police Clearance Certificate.
  • Age Up to 45 years.
  • Good Physical and health, endurance, skill.
  • Experience in physical work.

 

Processing Time:

  • Work permit processing time is 4-6 Weeks.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Keep agronomic and financial records of customer accounts.
  2. Scout crops for pests and diseases that may arise during various parts of the growing season.
  3. Build relationships with growers that you service.
  4. Collaborate with other advisors in your area to understand disease and pest outbreaks in the area.
  5. Work with the marketing manager to develop marketing plans and pricing strategies.
  6. Make recommendations to growers on actions that may need to be taken when problems arise.
  7. Provide training to growers in your area.
  8. Identify potential weed problems and offer suggestions on products.
  9. Utilize knowledge and understanding of weeds and herbicide modes of action to determine the best suitable treatment.
  10. Suggest crops and seeds to be used in the next growing season.
  11. Supervise chemical and fertilizer applications.

 

Requirement and skills:

  1. Soils, plant or crop science.
  2. A pest control advisor license is preferred along with being a Certified Crop Advisor.
  3. To pursue a career as a Crop Advisor.
  4. The following courses are recommended
  5. Agriculture education, biology, math, statistics, and accounting.
