Looking for a Fish Farmer. Fish farm workers help to breed and rear fish in ponds, tanks, cages, or nets in the water. Most fish such as salmon, trout or shellfish are farmed for food, but some are bred for angling or for ornamental ponds. They are also called fish husbandry workers or fish farm technicians.

Visa Application Requirements:

• Passport Validity (1 year).

•  Police Clearance Certificate.
•  Age Up to 45 years.
•  Good Physical and health, endurance, dexterity.
•  Experience of physical work.

Processing Time:

• Work permit processing time is 4-6 weeks.

Responsibilities:

1. Feeding fish by hand or operating automatic feeding systems.
2. Grading fish by size, moving them to bigger tanks or cages.
3. Checking and maintaining water quality.
4. Checking fish for disease, preventing and treating infection.
5. Draining and cleaning tanks, filters and nets.
6. Repairing tanks or cages.

Requirements and skills:

1. An interest in fish and fishing.
2. Some knowledge of fish biology including nutrition, diseases and breeding cycles.
3. Physical fitness, and willingness to work outside in all types of weather.
4. Practical skills, for example, cleaning tanks, maintain equipment and do minor repairs.
