Under general supervision, Mill Carpenter performs journey-level skilled rough and finished carpentry work, including construction and repair of wooden structures and components; maintain, repair, and replace building hardware; and perform related Carpentry or cabinet-making duties as assigned.

Processing Time:

Responsibilities:

1. Construct, remodel, maintain, and repair various types of buildings and structures.
2. Lay out work and cut, fit, and join lumber.
3. Lay out and build concrete forms; place and finish concrete.
4. Hang doors and install sash and window glazing.
5. Install wood flooring and lay floor tiles.
6. Install ceiling and wall systems to include metal framing and drywall.
7. Maintain, repair, and install wood fixtures and components of buildings.
8. Operate woodworking tools and equipment and maintain them in proper working condition.
9. Maintain and replace door locks, door closers, and other building hardware.
10. Build and install interior trim and interior fittings, such as cabinet shelves, partitions, and bookcases.
11. Assist other trades as directed by the supervisor.
12. Perform roofing repairs and maintenance.
13. Place and finish concrete.
14. Perform related duties as assigned.
