Requirements:

  • Age Up to 45 years.
  • Good Physical and health, endurace, dexterity.
  • Experience of physical work.

 

Processing Time:

Responsibilities:

  1. Laying out foundations and patterns based on measurements using tools like straightedges and rules.
  2. Breaking or cutting bricks to desired sizes using hammers or power saws.
  3. Mixing mortar (a blend of sand, cement, and water) to fuse blocks and erect structures.
  4. Applying mortar to brick, tile, or block surfaces using trowels.
  5. Aligning bricks on mortar beds according to set building plans.
  6. Brick masons clean and polish block surfaces using brooms or wire brushes to remove dust and scale.
  7. They inspect brickwork to identify and fix any faults in construction.
  8. To protect against heat degradation, they may apply refractory substances on finished brick structures.
  9. Masons also build corners using corner poles or corner pyramids.
  10. They correct expanding or contracting mortar joints using caulking materials.
  11. In certain cases, they install high-heat materials like refractory tiles and fire bricks in furnaces, boilers, cupolas, and ladles.
  12. When necessary, they replace defective bricks and conduct repairs to refurbish walls, chimneys, floors, or walkways.
  13. Brick masons adhere to health and safety regulations to maintain a risk-free work environment.
