Looking for a Bricklayer. A bricklayer is responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures made of bricks, blocks, and other types of masonry. This role involves measuring, cutting, and laying bricks to create walls, partitions, arches, and other structures, ensuring they are sturdy and aesthetically pleasing.

Accommodation: provided by the employer of 2-3 people in a room.

Requirements:

  • Passport Validity (1 year).
  • Updated CV.
  • Passport Size photo (4 Copies).
  • Police Clearance Certificate.
  • Age Up to 45 years.
  • Good Physical and health, endurace, dexterity.
  • Experience of physical work.

 

Processing Time:

  • Work Permit Processing time is 2 weeks.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications to determine layout and dimensions.
  2. Preparing the construction site by setting up scaffolding, cleaning the area, and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
  3. Measuring and cutting bricks to size using hand tools or power tools.
  4. Mixing and applying mortar to bricks and positioning them in the desired layout.
  5. Laying bricks in horizontal rows (courses) and ensuring they are level and plumb.
  6. Building structures such as walls, partitions, arches, chimneys, and other masonry works.
  7. Using trowels and other tools to smooth and finish mortar joints.
  8. Cleaning excess mortar from bricks and ensuring a neat and professional appearance.
  9. Applying sealants and other protective coatings as required.
  10. Removing damaged or deteriorated bricks and mortar and replacing them with new materials.
  11. Repairing and restoring existing brick structures to ensure their longevity and structural integrity.
  12. Following all safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as helmets, gloves, and safety glasses.
  13. Maintaining a clean and organized work area to prevent accidents.
  14. Working closely with other construction workers, supervisors, and contractors to complete projects efficiently.
  15. Communicating effectively with team members and reporting any issues or concerns.

 

Requirements and skills:

  1. Proficiency in using bricklaying tools and equipment, such as trowels, hammers, levels, and measuring tapes.
  2. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
  3. Strong focus on precision and accuracy to ensure bricks are laid correctly and structures are built to specifications.
  4. Ability to identify and rectify any issues or defects in the masonry work.
  5. Good physical condition to handle the demands of the job, including standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in various weather conditions.
  6. Comprehensive understanding of safety procedures and regulations in the construction industry.
  7. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and preventing accidents.
  8. Strong troubleshooting skills to address any issues that arise during the construction process.
  9. Ability to make quick, effective decisions under pressure.
  10. Good communication skills to interact effectively with other workers and supervisors.
