Looking for an experienced Truck Driver to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner. A "heavy driver" typically refers to someone who operates heavy vehicles, such as trucks, buses, or construction equipment. These drivers require special licenses and training due to the size, weight, and complexity of the vehicles they operate. They may transport goods, materials, or passengers over long distances or within construction sites, industrial areas, or urban environments. Heavy drivers must adhere to strict safety regulations and may need to maintain logs of their driving hours and vehicle inspections. Overall, they play a crucial role in transportation and logistics, ensuring that goods and people are safely transported from one place to another

 

Requirements for visa application:

  • Passport Validity (1 year).
  • Updated CV.
  • Passport Size photo (4 Copies).
  • Police Clearence Certificate.
  • Age Up to 45 years.
  • Good Physical and health, endurance, dexterity.
  • Experience of physical work.

 

Processing Time:

  • Work permit processing time is 4-6 weeks.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers.
  2. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
  3. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
  4. Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
  5. Input “macros” into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process.
  6. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods). as well as with company policies and procedures.
  7. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
  8. Collect and verify delivery instructions.
  9. Report defects, accidents, or violations.

 

Requirements and skills:

  1. Proven work experience as a Truck Driver.
  2. Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc).
  3. Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
  4. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
  5. No recent moving or driving violations.
  6. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc).
  7. Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations.
  8. Trucking school diploma.
  9. Valid truck driving license.
