Looking for a Masonry.  A masonry walls construction worker who specializes in building, repairing, and maintaining structures made from bricks, blocks, stones, and other masonry materials. This role involves laying and binding these materials with mortar to construct walls, partitions, facades, and other structural elements.

 

Accommodation: provided by the employer of 2-3 people in a room.

Requirements:

  • Passport Validity (1 year).
  • Updated CV.
  • Passport Size photo (4 Copies).
  • Police Clearance Certificate.
  • Age Up to 45 years.
  • Good Physical and health, endurace, dexterity.
  • Experience of physical work.

 

Processing Time:

  • Work Permit Processing time is 2 weeks.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications to determine layout, dimensions, and materials required.
  2. Preparing the construction site by setting up scaffolding, cleaning the area, and ensuring all necessary materials and tools are available.
  3. Loading, unloading, and transporting bricks, blocks, stones, and other masonry materials to and from the worksite.
  4. Mixing and preparing mortar or other bonding agents.
  5. Laying bricks, blocks, stones, and other masonry materials in horizontal rows (courses), ensuring they are level and plumb.
  6. Cutting and shaping bricks, blocks, and stones to fit specific spaces using hand tools or power tools.
  7. Building structures such as walls, partitions, facades, arches, columns, and other masonry elements.
  8. Inspecting completed masonry work to ensure it meets specifications and standards.
  9. Identifying and rectifying any defects or inconsistencies in the masonry work.
  10. Using trowels and other tools to smooth and finish mortar joints.
  11. Cleaning excess mortar from masonry surfaces to ensure a neat and professional appearance.
  12. Applying sealants and protective coatings as required.
  13. Removing damaged or deteriorated masonry materials and replacing them with new materials.
  14. Repairing and restoring existing masonry structures to ensure their longevity and structural integrity.
  15. Following all safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as helmets, gloves, and safety glasses.
  16. Maintaining a clean and organized work area to prevent accidents.
  17. Working closely with other construction workers, supervisors, and contractors to complete projects efficiently.
  18. Communicating effectively with team members and reporting any issues or concerns.

 

Requirements and skills:

  1. Proficiency in using masonry tools and equipment, such as trowels, hammers, chisels, levels, and measuring tapes.
  2. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
  3. Knowledge of different types of masonry materials and their properties.
  4. Strong focus on precision and accuracy to ensure masonry materials are laid correctly and structures are built to specifications.
  5. Ability to identify and rectify any issues or defects in the masonry work.
  6. Good physical condition to handle the demands of the job, including standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in various weather conditions.
  7. Comprehensive understanding of safety procedures and regulations in the construction industry.
  8. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and preventing accidents.
  9. Strong troubleshooting skills to address any issues that arise during the construction process.
