Looking for a plasterboard. A plasterboard installer, also known as a drywall installer, is responsible for measuring, cutting, and installing plasterboard or drywall panels to form walls, partitions, and ceilings in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards.
 

Accommodation: provided by the employer of 2-3 people in a room.

Requirements:

  • Passport Validity (1 year).
  • Updated CV.
  • Passport Size photo (4 Copies).
  • Police Clearance Certificate.
  • Age Up to 45 years.
  • Good Physical and health, endurace, dexterity.
  • Experience of physical work.

 

Processing Time:

  • Work Permit Processing time is 2 weeks.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications to determine the layout and materials required.
  2. Preparing the worksite by cleaning and organizing the area, and ensuring all necessary materials and tools are available.
  3. Loading, unloading, and transporting plasterboard panels and related materials to and from the worksite.
  4. Cutting plasterboard panels to the required size using hand tools or power tools.
  5. Measuring and marking surfaces to indicate where plasterboard panels will be installed.
  6. Fitting and fastening plasterboard panels to wall studs, ceiling joists, or metal framing using screws, nails, or adhesives.
  7. Ensuring that panels are level, plumb, and securely attached.
  8. Applying joint compound to cover seams, joints, and screw or nail heads.
  9. Sanding the applied compound to create a smooth, even surface.
  10. Installing corner beads and reinforcing tape to protect and strengthen corners.
  11. Repairing damaged or cracked plasterboard panels by removing and replacing them or patching holes.
  12. Making necessary adjustments to ensure panels fit properly around fixtures, outlets, and other obstructions.
  13. Following all safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as helmets, gloves, and safety glasses.
  14. Maintaining a clean and organized work area to prevent accidents.
  15. Working closely with other construction workers, supervisors, and contractors to complete projects efficiently.
  16. Communicating effectively with team members and reporting any issues or concerns.

 

Requirements and skills:

  1. Proficiency in using tools and equipment related to plasterboard installation, such as tape measures, utility knives, saws, screw guns, and sanding tools.
  2. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
  3. Strong focus on precision and accuracy to ensure plasterboard panels are cut and installed correctly.
  4. Ability to identify and rectify any issues or defects in the plasterboard installation.
  5. Good physical condition to handle the demands of the job, including standing for long periods, lifting heavy panels, and working in various positions (e.g., climbing ladders, bending, and reaching).
  6. Comprehensive understanding of safety procedures and regulations in the construction industry.
  7. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and preventing accidents.
  8. Strong troubleshooting skills to address any issues that arise during the installation process.
  9. Ability to make quick, effective decisions under pressure.
  10. Good communication skills to interact effectively with other workers and supervisors.
  11. Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
