Looking for a Welder. As a welder, you will be responsible for joining metal parts together using various welding techniques to fabricate or repair metal structures, equipment, and machinery. Your role involves interpreting blueprints, specifications, and instructions to determine the appropriate welding methods, materials, and equipment needed for each project. Attention to detail, precision, and safety are essential for producing high-quality welds and ensuring the structural integrity of the finished products.

Visa Application Requirements:

Processing Time:

  • Work permit processing time is 4-6 weeks.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.
  2. Select the appropriate welding method, equipment, and materials based on the type of metal, thickness, and project specifications.
  3. Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and cutting as needed to ensure proper fit and welding integrity.
  4. Set up welding machines, including adjusting settings such as voltage, amperage, and wire feed speed, to achieve desired weld quality.
  5. Perform various welding techniques, including shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), and flux-cored arc welding (FCAW).
  6. Position and secure workpieces using clamps, jigs, and fixtures to maintain proper alignment and fit-up.
  7. Weld metal components together using the appropriate welding process, ensuring proper penetration, fusion, and strength.
  8. Inspect welded joints for defects, such as cracks, porosity, or incomplete fusion, and perform any necessary repairs or rework.
  9. Follow safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper ventilation.
  10. Maintain welding equipment in good working condition by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and replacing worn or damaged parts.

 

Requirements and Skills:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent qualification; vocational training or certification in welding preferred.
  2. Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing, construction, or fabrication environment.
  3. Proficiency in various welding techniques, including SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and FCAW.
  4. Familiarity with welding equipment and tools, including welding machines, torches, electrodes, and filler metals.
  5. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding symbols.
  6. Strong knowledge of metallurgy, metal properties, and welding procedures.
  7. Attention to detail and precision in welding techniques, measurements, and alignment.
  8. Physical stamina and dexterity to work in various positions, including standing, kneeling, and overhead welding.
  9. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness for accurate welding and fit-up.
  10. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in welding processes and practices.
