A Plumber installs, maintains, and repairs plumbing systems, including water, gas, drainage, and waste systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Plumbers are responsible for ensuring that these systems operate efficiently and meet all regulatory standards. They also troubleshoot and fix leaks, clogs, and other plumbing-related issues.

Requirements for visa application:

  • Police Clearance Certificate.
  • Age Up to 45 years.
  • Good physical health, endurance, and dexterity.

Responsibilities:

  1. Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including water supply, gas lines, waste disposal, and drainage systems.
  2. Read and interpret blueprints, building plans, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
  3. Install pipes, fixtures, and appliances such as sinks, toilets, water heaters, and dishwashers.
  4. Diagnose and repair plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, low water pressure, and faulty water heaters.
  5. Use pressure gauges or specialized equipment to test plumbing systems for leaks and other problems.
  6. Assemble pipe sections, tubing, and fittings using welding, soldering, or other bonding techniques.
  7. Collaborate with other construction professionals such as electricians, carpenters, and HVAC technicians to ensure efficient and coordinated construction and repair projects.
  8. Follow local and national plumbing codes to ensure proper installation and maintenance.
  9. Provide emergency repair services for plumbing issues such as burst pipes or malfunctioning water heaters.
  10. Advise clients on plumbing maintenance and safety procedures.
  11. Maintain records of repairs, installations, and service calls.

Requirements and skills:

  1. Lay bricks, concrete blocks, or other masonry units to construct or repair walls, partitions, and other structures.
  2. Install structural components, such as steel reinforcements or anchors.
  3. Apply mortar or other adhesives to bind masonry units together.
  4. Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete, using tools such as trowels or brushes.
  5. Measure and mark reference lines and points on construction materials.
  6. Use levels and plumb bobs to align and check the accuracy of work.
  7. Cut or shape materials to prescribed measurements, using hand tools or power equipment.
  8. Operate saws and other cutting equipment safely and accurately.
  9. Repair or replace damaged bricks, blocks, or other masonry units.
  10. Restore or reinforce existing structures as needed.
  11. Clean and maintain tools and equipment after use.
  12. Keep the work area clean and organized.
