A CE Category Driver refers to a professional licensed to operate articulated vehicles, including trucks with trailers, tankers, or other heavy-duty vehicles requiring advanced driving skills. These drivers are critical in industries like logistics, construction, and transportation.

Requirements for visa application:

  • Passport Validity (1 year).
  • Updated CV.
  •  Passport Size photo (4 Copies).
  •  Police Clearance Certificate.
  •  Age Up to 25-50 years.
  •  Good physical health, endurance, and dexterity.
  • Experience in physical work and skilled Work.

 

Processing Time:

  • Work permit processing time is 4-6 weeks.

Responsibilities:

  1. Safely operate articulated vehicles (e.g., tractor-trailers, tankers) for transporting goods over local, regional, or international routes.
  2. Ensure proper loading, securing, and unloading of cargo to prevent damage or accidents during transit.
  3. Plan efficient routes using maps or GPS while considering road restrictions for large vehicles.
  4. Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to identify and address maintenance needs.
  5. Ensure vehicle components like brakes, lights, and tires meet legal safety standards.
  6. Follow traffic laws, road safety guidelines, and transport regulations, including weight limits and tachograph usage.
  7. Maintain accurate records of travel logs, fuel usage, cargo manifests, and delivery documentation.
  8. Handle unforeseen issues such as breakdowns, route changes, or delays effectively.

Requirements and skills:

  1. Certification for driving articulated vehicles and long trailers.
  2. Advanced skills in maneuvering large vehicles, including reversing and negotiating tight spaces.
  3. Familiarity with road transport laws, tachograph use, and working hours limits.
  4. Ability to handle long hours of driving and occasional physical tasks like securing loads.
