Looking for a hardworking, experienced Crop Picker to join our team. A Crop Picker is a crucial member of the agricultural workforce responsible for manually harvesting crops from fields, orchards, or vineyards. This role involves precision and efficiency in gathering fruits, vegetables, or other crops while adhering to quality standards. Crop Pickers play a vital role in ensuring a successful harvest and contributing to the overall productivity of the farm.

Visa Application Requirements:

  • Passport Validity (1 year).
  • Updated CV.
  •  Passport Size photo (4 Copies).
  •  Police Clearance Certificate.
  •  Age Up to 45 years.
  •  Good Physical and health, endurance, dexterity.
  •  Experience of physical work.

 

Processing Time:

  • Work permit processing time is 6-8 weeks.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Engage in manual harvesting of crops, including picking fruits, vegetables, or other produce according to specific guidelines.
  2. Handle crops carefully to minimize damage and ensure product quality.
  3. Sort harvested crops based on size, ripeness, or quality.
  4. Pack crops into containers or bins for transport to markets or storage facilities.
  5. Follow established quality control standards to ensure that only marketable and high-quality crops are harvested.
  6. Discard damaged or inferior produce during the picking process.
  7. Work efficiently to meet daily harvesting targets and contribute to the success of the harvest season.
  8. Work collaboratively with other Crop Pickers and farm staff to coordinate activities and maintain a smooth workflow.

 

Requirements and skills:

  1. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
  2. Keen attention to detail to ensure the proper identification and harvesting of crops based on quality standards.
  3. Ability to adapt to varying weather conditions and the physical demands of the harvesting season.
  4. Familiarity with basic farming practices is beneficial.
  5. Willingness to learn and follow instructions from supervisors.
  6. Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
  7. Reliable and punctual attendance to meet the demands of the harvesting season.
