  • Processing time is 3 months.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Using fish-finding equipment, fishing workers locate areas where fish are abundant. This involves understanding fish behavior and patterns.
  2. Fishing workers steer vessels (boats or ships) to navigate fishing grounds.
  3. They operate navigational instruments to ensure safe travel and efficient fishing.
  4. Fishing workers are responsible for maintaining engines, fishing gear, and onboard equipment.
  5. They perform minor repairs to keep everything in working order.
  6. After catching fish, workers sort, pack, and store the catch.
  7. They use ice and other freezing methods to preserve the quality of the fish.
  8. Fishing workers measure fish to ensure they meet legal size requirements.
  9. Undersized or undesirable catches are returned to the water.
  10. They guide nets, traps, and lines onto vessels either manually or using hoisting equipment.
  11. Proper positioning and handling are crucial for a successful catch.
  12. Perform daily tasks such as baiting, setting lines or traps, hauling in the catch, and maintaining the boat and gear.
  13. Secure and remove mooring lines during docking or undocking.
