Looking for a Forest Ranger. As a Forest Ranger, you will serve as a frontline guardian of forest resources, responsible for protecting and managing designated forest areas. Your role involves enforcing regulations, conducting patrols, and engaging with the public to ensure the sustainable use and conservation of forests. You will work in various environments, from national parks to state forests, carrying out duties that range from fire prevention to wildlife management.

Visa Application Requirements:

  • Passport Validity (1 year).
  • Updated CV.
  •  Passport Size photo (4 Copies).
  •  Police Clearance Certificate.
  •  Age Up to 45 years.
  •  Good Physical and health, endurance, dexterity.
  •  Experience of physical work.

 

Processing Time:

  • Work permit processing time is 4-6 weeks.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Patrolling designated forest areas to enforce laws and regulations related to forest conservation, recreation, and public safety.
  2. Conducting investigations into illegal activities such as poaching, logging, and vandalism, and taking appropriate enforcement actions.
  3. Participating in wildfire prevention, detection, and suppression efforts, including prescribed burns and firefighting activities.
  4. Assisting visitors, including information on recreational opportunities, trail maintenance, and wildlife viewing.
  5. Collaborating with other agencies and stakeholders to develop and implement forest management plans and conservation initiatives.
  6. Monitoring forest health and biodiversity through surveys, data collection, and analysis.
  7. Participating in search and rescue operations for lost or injured hikers, campers, and other outdoor enthusiasts.
  8. Maintaining and repairing infrastructure such as trails, campsites, and fire lookout towers.
  9. Educating the public about the importance of forest conservation, fire safety, and Leave No Trace principles.
  10. Assisting in habitat restoration projects, invasive species control, and other conservation activities as needed.

 

Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent; some positions may require additional education or specialized training in forestry, natural resources management, or a related field.
  2. Previous experience in law enforcement, forestry, or outdoor recreation is preferred.
  3. Knowledge of forest ecosystems, wildlife species, and natural resource management principles.
  4. Certification as a wildland firefighter, or willingness to undergo training to obtain certification.
  5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people.
  6. Physical fitness and outdoor skills, including navigation, first aid, and survival techniques.
  7. Ability to work independently and make decisions in high-pressure situations.
  8. Valid driver's license and clean driving record; some positions may require additional certifications such as CPR and first aid.
  9. Willingness to work irregular hours, including weekends, holidays, and nights, as well as in adverse weather conditions.
  10. Dedication to environmental stewardship and a passion for protecting natural resources for future generations.
