Looking for a Landscape Supervisor. A Landscape Supervisor plays an integral role in overseeing the aesthetic and functional aspects of outdoor spaces for a variety of settings, including residential areas, public parks, and commercial properties.

Responsibilities:

1. Overseeing the installation and maintenance of landscaping projects, ensuring all plants, trees, and lawn areas are properly placed, healthy, and aesthetically pleasing.
2. Developing and implementing irrigation schedules and systems to maintain optimal soil moisture levels for various plant types, adjusting for seasonal changes and weather conditions.
3. Coordinating with clients to understand their vision and requirements for landscape projects, providing expert advice on design, plant selection, and maintenance.
4. Managing and training landscaping staff, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring adherence to safety standards and protocols.
5. Preparing and monitoring budgets for landscaping projects, including estimates for labor, materials, and equipment, ensuring projects remain within financial constraints.
6. Inspecting and assessing the health of plants and soil, diagnosing and treating issues such as disease, pests, or nutrient deficiencies.
7. Negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers for the procurement of plants, materials, and landscaping equipment, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
8. Designing and implementing soil erosion and water runoff management plans for landscapes, incorporating sustainable practices and materials to protect natural resources and comply with environmental regulations.

Requirements and skills:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Minimum of 1 year of industry experience on a construction site.
3. Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in landscaping and the construction of outdoor spaces.
4. Problem-solving ability.
5. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
6. Physically fit and able to stand for long periods.
7. Ability to lift 100 pounds.
